1 Давид спросил: «Не остался ли ещё кто-нибудь из семьи Саула? Я хочу оказать ему милость ради Ионафана».

2 Там был слуга из семьи Саула по имени Сива. Его позвали к Давиду, и царь спросил его: «Ты ли Сива?» Он ответил: «Я, слуга твой».

3 Тогда царь сказал: «Нет ли ещё кого-нибудь из семьи Саула? Я хочу оказать им милость Божью». Сива сказал царю: «Есть ещё сын Ионафана, хромой на обе ноги».

4 Царь спросил: «Где он?» Сива ответил: «Он в доме Махира, сына Аммиила, в Ло-Деваре».

5 И послал царь Давид туда своих людей, чтобы они привели сына Ионафана из дома Махира, сына Аммиила, в Ло-Деваре.

6 Мемфивосфей, сын Ионафана, сына Саула, пришёл к Давиду и поклонился ему до земли. Давид сказал: «Мемфивосфей!» Тот ответил: «Я — слуга твой».

7 И сказал ему Давид: «Не бойся. Я окажу тебе милость ради твоего отца Ионафана. Я возвращу тебе все земли, которые принадлежали твоему деду Саулу. И ты всегда будешь есть за моим столом».

8 Мемфивосфей снова поклонился и сказал: «Я не лучше мёртвого пса, но ты очень добр ко мне».

9 Затем царь призвал Сиву, слугу Саула, и сказал ему: «Всё, что принадлежало Саулу и всему его дому, я отдал внуку твоего господина.

10 Ты, твои сыновья и твои слуги должны обрабатывать для него землю и собирать урожай, чтобы у людей в доме твоего господина всегда было много еды. Мемфивосфею же, внуку твоего господина, всегда будет позволено есть за моим столом». У Сивы было пятнадцать сыновей и двадцать слуг.

11 Затем Сива сказал царю: «Твой слуга исполнит всё, что ни прикажет господин мой царь». И Мемфивосфей ел за столом Давида как один из сыновей царя.

12 У Мемфивосфея был малолетний сын по имени Миха. И все, живущие в доме Сивы, были слугами Мемфивосфея.

13 Мемфивосфей был хром на обе ноги. Он жил в Иерусалиме и всегда ел за царским столом.

Chapter 9

1 AND David said, Is there yet any one left of the house of Saul, that I may show kindness to him for Jonathan's sake?

2 Now there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And they called him to David, and the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, I am your servant.

3 And the king said to him, Is there any one still left of the house of Saul, that I may show kindness to him for the sake of God? And Ziba said to the king, There is yet a son left to Jonathan, who is lame in his feet.

4 And the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Gammir, in Lo-debar.

5 Then King David sent and took him from the house of Machir, the son of Gammir, from Lo-debar.

6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come to David, he fell on his face and did obeisance. And David said to him, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold your servant!

7 And David said to him, Fear not; for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and I will restore to you all the land of Saul your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.

8 And he bowed himself and said, What is your servant, that you should look upon me? For I am like a dead dog.

9 Then the king called to Ziba and said to him, All that belonged to Saul and to all his house I have given to your master's son.

10 You therefore and your sons and your servants shall till the land for him, and you shall bring in food for your master's son, that he may eat; but Mephibosheth your master's son shall eat bread always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

11 Then Ziba said to the king, Whatever my lord the king commands his servant, so shall your servant do. So Mephibosheth ate bread at the king's table, as one of the king's sons.

12 And Mephibosheth had a little son, whose name was Micha. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.

13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he ate continually at the king's table; and he was lame in both his feet.

5 Then King David sent and took him from the house of Machir, the son of Gammir, from Lo-debar.

6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come to David, he fell on his face and did obeisance. And David said to him, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold your servant!

7 И сказал ему Давид: «Не бойся. Я окажу тебе милость ради твоего отца Ионафана. Я возвращу тебе все земли, которые принадлежали твоему деду Саулу. И ты всегда будешь есть за моим столом».

7 And David said to him, Fear not; for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and I will restore to you all the land of Saul your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.

8 Мемфивосфей снова поклонился и сказал: «Я не лучше мёртвого пса, но ты очень добр ко мне».

10 Ты, твои сыновья и твои слуги должны обрабатывать для него землю и собирать урожай, чтобы у людей в доме твоего господина всегда было много еды. Мемфивосфею же, внуку твоего господина, всегда будет позволено есть за моим столом». У Сивы было пятнадцать сыновей и двадцать слуг.

10 You therefore and your sons and your servants shall till the land for him, and you shall bring in food for your master's son, that he may eat; but Mephibosheth your master's son shall eat bread always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

11 Затем Сива сказал царю: «Твой слуга исполнит всё, что ни прикажет господин мой царь». И Мемфивосфей ел за столом Давида как один из сыновей царя.

11 Then Ziba said to the king, Whatever my lord the king commands his servant, so shall your servant do. So Mephibosheth ate bread at the king's table, as one of the king's sons.

12 У Мемфивосфея был малолетний сын по имени Миха. И все, живущие в доме Сивы, были слугами Мемфивосфея.

12 And Mephibosheth had a little son, whose name was Micha. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.

13 Мемфивосфей был хром на обе ноги. Он жил в Иерусалиме и всегда ел за царским столом.

13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he ate continually at the king's table; and he was lame in both his feet.
